According to John F. Kennedy, “When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man’s concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.” This is a very relevant speech for the current century. Kennedy was not a poet, but he realised the power of poetry. Poetry is the rejuvenator of the human mind, and it increases the blood flow through the veins.
